This gameplay element is triggered whenever the magnet icon appears on the fifth reel of the slot, causing all of the reels to be twisted and thus reveal a new set of symbols.

Essentially, this feature offers a cheeky free spin during normal gameplay. That, we cannot complain about. There is also an opportunity to get 15 free spins by finding three bonus icons on reels 1, 3, and 5.

The twisting magnet will also appear during these bonus free spins, meaning that you can get free spins in your free spins. Players should note that the Twisted Pays wild symbol will not replace the magnet or bonus icons.

Twisted Pays Slot Machine. Play Mobile Slots for Real Money. Tyler doesn't mind hard work, it's something he's good at and it's a cleansing experience for his mind and body especially his body.

I decapitated dandelions all morning, leaving carnage and death strewn in my path…. I was good at digging holes. It was the rest of the life I sucked at.

In addition with dealing with his messed up family dad is a first class asshole, mom is a pet photographer, cake baker, and a nice lady who smells faintly of gin, and sister Hannah is just staring high school , he has to deal with his new reputation, his AP classes, his parole officer and his alarmingly high testosterone levels.

Work hard at school. Keep your nose clean, and come back in a month. Authority figures had a pathological fear of boogers, that's how I saw it.

But things are not all that bad, there's a upside to all this. During the summer he goes trough a growth spurt he's six-three and one ninety-five now and because of his hard work for the landscaping company he's packing some nice looking muscles, so the most popular girl in school Bethany Milbury is finally noticing him.

Tyler has a huge crush on her but he's not exactly confident enough to do something about that, and when he finally makes a move, some unexpected things happen and he must figure out how to deal with them.

Tyler is a great guy and one of my favorite YA characters. He's a great brother to his younger sister, he's a great son to his mom, and his trying to please his over controlling and a little bit psycho dad.

He's not emo, but he's sensitive enough, and his hormones are working overtime, but he's not acting like a dog in heat. And he's really funny in a sarcastic and intelligent way.

I picked up one of the books and flipped through it. Don't get me wrong, I like reading. But some books should come with warning labels: Do not attempt to operate heavy machinery after ingesting more than one chapter.

Has been known to cause blindness, seizures and a terminal loathing of literature. Should only be taken under the supervision of a highly trained English teacher.

Preferably one who grades on the curve. There are some things about Tyler that are disturbing, but probably not that unusual for a teenager who's going trough these kind of problems.

He has violent thoughts about hurting his father, and hurting other kids in school, and about hurting himself. I wish there are more books like these.

Twisted is centered around suicide. Anderson has a gift for being able to dive into the minds of teens. I think a lot of authors miss the mark when they try to write "teen voices" and their characters end up sounding like they tried way too hard.

With Anderson, it comes naturally. Her characters think like teens, have realistic relationships, and their behavior accurately represents teenagers.

Twisted shows the side of Tyler's life that he won't let his friends see - his depressed, abusive father who is tearing their family apart and how Tyler spends his time thinking up different ways to hurt people.

I was a different size, a different shape. I kept trying to squeeze into a body, a skin suit, that was too small. But the portrayal of a serious issue wasn't the only good thing - the plot also intrigued me and the writing was addicting.

I loved the ending; it sent a great message about suicide. No matter how bad things are, what people are saying about you, or how you feel about yourself, you can take control of the situation and change things for the better.

When there is the possibility of a brighter future ahead, why give up now? Feb 10, Valerie rated it it was ok Shelves: This book didn't really do it for me.

The whole time I was reading it, I kept thinking that if I was a teenager I would have had my jaw gaping open at some of the plot twists, but since I'm now a jaded adult I felt like the events that occurred were a bit more emotionally manipulative.

Main things that bugged me: The inattentive father and the "resolution" that occurs with their rel This book didn't really do it for me. The inattentive father and the "resolution" that occurs with their relationship at the end of the novel.

I just wasn't buying it. But like I said, I'm not really the intended audience for this book, so I'll shut up now. On the flip side, many YA books can cross the line and engage both teens and adults - I just don't think this is one of them.

Jan 04, Ashley rated it really liked it Shelves: Halse Anderson accomplishes two remarkable feats in this book. First, she gets the teenage male voice and preoccupations perfect; Tyler's hard-ons are just as much a part of his daily life as his social anxieties, crushes, and homework.

And secondly, she manages to address the deep-level importance of family life, however dysfunctional, to adolescents. The plot seems at first to offer only a predictable scenario: But as Tyler's promising proto-relationship with super-popular Bethany gets twisted by one late-night party and a heap of false accusations, it becomes impossible to ignore the pressure from Tyler's asshole dad Some elements--the reconciliation between Tyler and his father, for example--are a bit predictable, but all in all, this is a thought-provoking, worthwhile read that guys and gals alike will enjoy.

After reading any of YA book that deals with high school students I really can't help but wonder if is it like this in real life - cheerleaders and football players owning the school and stuff.

It's sounds surreal to me, but different continents, different cultures will do that. Anyhow I wouldn't want to be part of Tyler's high school.

Laurie Halse Anderson is one of the authors who won't tell you a story about first and sweet teen loves nor did she try to create perfect happily ever endings.

Not, instead she will give you a real story. One that you can play in your head and one that deals with real nowadays issues. So this is story about Tyler, a guy who was average aka invisible.

Being sick of that position he decides to change things and do something big that would bring him on the top of high school hierarchy. And he does, only the result is not the one he expected.

After getting busted his reputation is now different. As punishment for his actions he spend the whole summer doing outdoor work and that doesn't and that does wonder for his physique.

Now he appears to be a bad boy with muscles and in reality he is just trying to get his crush to like him. Tyler has a lot of issues on his backs - his father doesn't seem to forgive him his crime and now he is on thin ice.

Things in his family haven't been good in a while and they only get worse plus he has a lot of AP subjects to ace. Most of the time it only makes him give up and all he wanted was to be more popular.

I can say that Laurie did an amazing job with Tyler's character. Not only is he realistic but at the same time we have a really great picture of a boy trying to survive puberty.

At the same time he really is a sweetheart. He tries to be a good brother, son and friend but that one mistake makes downgraded him in every way.

With Twisted Laurie Halse Anderson brings a realistic story about becoming a man and all that in Tyler's witty, funny and at times really emotional voice.

Now, after a month of community service, he returns to school and seems on the way to becoming a little more popular. Then things go wrong.

The school shuns Tyler and he spirals into a deep depression, struggling with thoughts of suicide.

In spite of the sometimes depressing tone of the book, Laurie Halse Anderson's dry wit and the positive end to the book makes Twisted an excellent read.

The story of a high-school outcast feels genuine and kept me engaged. I was invested in Tyler and relieved when the book ended on a hopeful note.

I'd recommend this book for the older young adult readers. I ended up really liking this book, but it took me a surprisingly long time to get into it.

I knocked one star off because the familial relationships lacked a bit of authenticity, IMO. Also, the ending was a tad too tidy and unrealistic for my taste, BUT I do think that the ending is appropriate and important for a YA audience.

The conclusion was definitely moving and well-written. It's just a shame I wasn't sold on some aspects of the narrative. Overtime, the insistence of the narrative that guys only want to bang virgin girls in this demented world of high-school, felt gratuitous and excessive.

True, it may be the reality, but there Well, how do your rate a novel you disliked from beginning till the middle part, only to be surprised by its ending?

True, it may be the reality, but there has to be some nuance to this portrayal, otherwise, we're dealing with the same old high-school stereotypes.

Also, while I appreciate the uniqueness of Tyler's voice, I felt as if the resolution of his inward conflict with himself was a bit weak.

I'm very skeptical of the nerd-boy-turns-into-a-jock narrative, and rightfully so. Most of these stories fail to address that there's nothing wrong with being a "nerd" or a "weirdo" and people tagged as such shouldn't go to extreme lengths just to change themselves.

This epiphany should emerge from the conflicted protagonist himself, more than anyone. Unfortunately, Twisted failed in showing that like most of the stories operating under the same premise.

While I admire Anderson's ability to craft a unique character in Tyler, he didn't really come to terms with his dork background. This dilemma in selfhood felt shoved under the rug and was ultimately unresolved.

What worked for me however, was the depiction of Tyler's frustration with his family and how the world views him. At first, I didn't like his frequent gushing and lusting over Bethany, but I learned to understand him and in the end he earned my sympathy.

Props as well to Anderson's ability to subtlety show how dysfunctional families operate. Tyler's dad may come off as annoying at first, but like most overworked, breadwinners, I get his aggravation with life.

Overall, Twisted is worth reading. It's just that, a lot of better YA contemporary works have appeared in the last few years and I'm not sure if it's a work that stands the test of time.
